Indiscipline among Footballers, World Cup 2010 Player Coach Row

The recent outburst between a French striker, and his national team coach, in which the latter was said to have openly insulted the former, brings to mind the damage indiscipline among footballers can do to the image of the beautiful game of football.
Coach’s player row is becoming rampant in football, both at club and national team levels. To tackle this problem, a player must not see himself as a demigod to be worshipped but rather as a link in a chain, football being a team game.
The last may not have been heard of this but every thing humanly possible should be done to prevent a future reoccurrence. Footballers should realize that they play not necessarily for themselves but for their employers which can be their nation or a local club; therefore they must conduct themselves in an exemplary manner.
Also, the coach is always older than his players either in age or with regard to the game and etiquette demands that juniors should respect elders at all time. If a player looses his cool, he must not throw decency to the winds; such a player must realize that there are millions of upcoming ones watching his actions closely, so he or she cannot afford to send out wrong signals thereby bringing the game to disrepute. A stitch in time they say saves nine.
